Ok, after my inability to upload, I finally managed to beat the internet and get my song ready for listening. I wrote it a little drunk, which I'm not proud of. I don't like that I always rely on alcohol to calm my inhibitions. But anyway, I just sat down and started playing chord progressions and making up lyrics. I realized I was thinking about losing by mom, which is what a lot of my writing has been about for the past year. It's a bit generic and a bit like within h I have submitted so far, but I've realized that I like the way I sing: it isn't good, but it feels good. Thanks for taking my late submission, and I can't wait to hear everyone's posts.
lyrics
Sipping on "Lewis and Clark blended whiskey"
Hoping you miss me
Keep telling myself to pour it gently
'cuz I've had plenty.
Took me damn near a year
To entertain the fact that you might not be here.
Is it to much to ask to belong?
Is it too much to ask for a happy song?
Can I bring you back and bring you along?
The timing was wrong. The timing was wrong.
Told me he's seeing someone new
And she's just like you.
Everyone can seem to let go
While I sleep in snow
(and then things repeat)
