I woke up this morning at my friends house in his living room chair. Walked home, feeling like shit. Decided I wanted a 4 entree meal at Panda Express. That put me down until 4pm. It took me a long time to just set up my new laptop and figure out my space. My mood told me I felt like doing some drone. Or at least my conception of drone? So I sat in my boxers in my bed, got on my laptop and cranked out some jombie zounds.
I used FL studio for everything. I took some samples off of the loop pedal and attempted to fuse them with some sort of long sustained vocal notes with a touch of hip hop. It was quite the experience trying to sustain notes out for a long time. I’m sort of still learning my voice and it was interesting to mess around like this trying to create chords with my voice. I used addictive drums for the beats with put some dirt on it. I twisted some knobs and hit the switches. I think it turned out great.
